Rare shot of Edward in his young days, pulling a rake of Furness Railway passenger carriages within NWR territory. This picture is believed to have been taken around 1921 when the line was previously being assessed for possible commercial use, and foreign passenger trains were reported to have been allowed to go as far as Crovan's Gate back then.
